Ever stepped into a chilly bathroom on a winter morning? It’s the worst. That’s why recessed infrared heaters are such a win. Instead of trying to warm up all the air in the room—which takes forever—these things beam heat directly onto you. It feels like a slice of sunlight hitting your shoulders the second you flip the switch. But here’s the catch: you can’t just pick a random wattage and hope for the best.
Picking the Right Power
You’ve got to match the heater to the size of your space. If you’re dealing with a tiny powder room (anything under 4m²), a 400W to 600W unit is usually plenty to keep the shivers away. Now, if you’re prepping a big master bath—think 8m² to 12m²—you’ll want to jump up to 1000W or 1500W. Why does this matter? If you go too low, the heater will just run and run, never actually getting the room comfortable. The Nitty-Gritty of Setup
