A Quick Heads-Up on Sealing
Here is the trade-off. When you seal a heater to keep water out, you’re also trapping heat inside. Since there aren’t any big gaps for air to escape, the internals get hotter than they would in an open-frame unit. Just make sure your mounting bracket gives the chassis some breathing room. You don’t want the wiring insulation getting brittle because it’s trapped in a sauna.
